ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
AT KING’S PRE-PREP
By providing a strong academic foundation for our youngest students, we’re laying the groundwork for their future success.
From the very start of their time at Angels, our students are exposed to a wide range of subject specialisms. This early introduction to diverse areas of study helps to foster their natural curiosity for future academic pursuits.
EARLY YEARS
FOUNDATION STAGE
Our foundation programme and foundation entryes follow the Foundation Level Foundation Stage curriculum, which is a play-based approach designed to instil a love of learning and help students meet their early learning goals. Through engaging, age-appropriate activities, we nurture the development of essential skills and prepare our students for the more formal learning that lies ahead.
It is grounded in the guiding principles that by treating every student as a unique individual, creating enabling environments and promoting positive relationships between staff, families and students, students will flourish across all seven areas of their learning and development.
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
- Literacy
- Mathematics
- Understanding the World
- Expressive Arts and Design
By the end of their time in Foundation Entry, we’re proud that most students have far exceeded the statutory Early Learning Goal assessment.
KEY STAGE 1
As our students progress into Level 4, the curriculum becomes more structured, with discrete subject areas.
Our dedicated subject specialists work closely with each student, guiding them through this important transition and ensuring a seamless continuation of their academic journey while maintaining the core value that the students are still very young and also need time to explore their own curiosities and fascinations.
students will also receive specialist teaching in Games and Music from Foundation Entry and will begin specialist French lessons in Foundation Year.
