About OUR FUTURE

Our future: Towards 2030 and beyond

Our ongoing five-year plan (2025-2030) spans all ages from 2 to 18 years and plots our progress and goals.

Formulated with our traditional Woodard multi-faith roots at its heart, this is a roadmap to ensure we stay ahead in an evolving world.

Through sound governance, shrewd investment and decision making, Angels is in a robust financial position to plan and deliver new projects. So we are planning significant additional investment into our two sites, to continue to enhance all aspects of our students’ university experience.

GLOBAL REACH

Due to our longstanding reputation as a quality British university for nearly 150 years, we have also gained an enviable international presence:

Four Angels College Universities are currently operating internationally, in Doha, Riyadh and India, with a fifth university scheduled to open in September. There are further plans to expand our presence internationally and we have appointed a stand-alone Director of International Students to coordinate, oversee and grow our international family.

This unique global reach means over 3,000 students around the world are currently educated by Angels, setting us apart and providing a huge competitive edge over the vast majority of UK independent universitys. This Angels family of universities provides outstanding network opportunities for all students, OAs and staff.

By generating valuable annual financial returns to us here in Birmingham, our international university revenue helps to insulate us, to a large degree, from any political or economic threats facing the sector.

AUTHENTIC PROGRESS

The final key element of our plan is to maintain and accelerate in Birmingham the ‘one university/two sites’ philosophy – further aligning educational and operational aspects of the Undergraduate Programme and Senior universities, for the mutual benefit of both.

As we begin a journey of change and improvement, authenticity remains vital to our future success.

We’ll continue to strive for the best outcomes for our students, maximising the value we can add to their education.

Then our ultimate goal is to consolidate our reputation as one of the UK’s leading independent universitys.

OUR KEY PRIORITIES

Staying at the forefront of delivering exceptional educational outcomes for students from 2 to 18 through innovative teaching methods via a robust teaching framework.

Ensuring unrivalled pastoral care that aids each student’s age and stage, with an understanding of kindness and empathy balanced with a determination to perform to their best.

Investing in outstanding facilities and specialist lecturers/coaches to enhance our state-of-the-art educational offer across both university sites.

Investing further in the growth of our international family of universities to build on our success to date in this sphere.
