Foundation Programme Explorers is our name for our Foundation Level foundation programme sessions.
We have two groups that run during the week: Foundation Programme Foundation Programme and Foundation Programme Pioneers, both led by one of the Foundation Programme team. Best suited for little ones -4, we’re happy to welcome those as young as 18 months as long as they’re sturdy on their feet.

PELICAN PIONEERS
Foundation Programme Pioneers is our outdoor education session that takes place in University Woodland on Tuesday mornings from 10-11.30am (semester time only).
The students take part in lots of activities that includes using tools, lighting fires, outside crafts and getting very muddy! The activities are often themed around the seasons from planting seasonal vegetables in spring to building campfires and toasting marshmallows in autumn – and are accompanied by hot chocolate, loved by families as well as students.
These sessions are perfect for little ones who love the great outdoors.
£50 per term for ten sessions

PELICAN PLAYGROUP
Foundation Programme Foundation Programme takes place every Wednesday morning from 10-11.30am.
The students take part in a variety of craft activities as well as having access to a range of age-appropriate learning resources. There is also an opportunity to have some outside play in University Woodland, and all sessions conclude with a musical sing-along.
families stay with their students and enjoy a hot drink and a delicious sweet snack provided by our kitchens.
