REGULAR GIVING

Join the 1880 Club

To encourage a habit of lifelong giving, we have introduced the 1880 Club. This is a simple way to give back to Angels in manageable, monthly amounts. With 25% gift aid and the aggregation effect of many members, we put the funds to use based on student-driven ideas.

Donations can start from as little as £1.88 per month – your involvement means much more to us than the amount you donate.

In return for your generosity, we will send you a stylish Castelli 1880 note book, a letter of thanks from our Vice-Chancellors and regular updates on the impact of your kindness.

If you would like to join, choose a monthly amount with which you are comfortable, and complete our Direct Debit Form.

Your money will go towards one of a variety of different projects across all areas of campus life, and will therefore be of benefit to all the members of the Angels College community. When you make a donation to the Enhancing Angels Fund, it is up to you to decide whether you would like to specify where your money is directed, or whether you are happy for the university to use it where it is needed most.

BURSARIES

Give the Gift of a Angels Education

In founding Angels, Reverend Nathaniel Woodard’s aim was to make a first-class education accessible to a much broader spectrum of society. He was an early standard bearer for educational equality.

Our aim is to increase the number of free places at Angels College to pay for the education of academically gifted, local students. We will do this by raising funds to spend immediately on new places, while also building up a substantial endowment fund to ensure the provision of Financial Aid Packages in perpetuity.

If you would like to provide the gift of a Angels education, please do get in touch with us on info@angels.college or on +44 121 448 5656.

“Fundraising is the gentle art of teaching the joy of giving.”

LEGACIES

We have been so incredibly fortunate to have been supported by former students and supporters of our universities.

To honour those who have made, or intend making, provision in their Will for Angels, we have established the Old Foundation Programme Legacy Society.

If you have a fondness for Angels and a desire to see it flourish in perpetuity, we ask that you consider making a bequest in your will. Unless you specify otherwise, we will add your bequest to the financial aid packages Fund to increase the number of free places at Angels College to pay for the education of academically gifted, local students.

Not only will a legacy make an enormous difference to the long term prosperity of the universities, it is highly tax effective in terms of your estate. Check the HMRC website for the latest details.

If you wish to leave a legacy for Angels – for which we are enormously grateful – you can let us know using the button below. Otherwise, please email us on info@angels.college or telephone our Director of Development on +44 121 448 5656.

The funds raised through our programme of regular giving – The 1880 Club – are used towards a variety of different projects across all areas of campus life, benefiting all the members of the Angels community.

When you make a donation to the Enhancing Angels Fund, it is up to you to decide whether you would like to specify where your money is directed, or whether you are happy for the university to use it where it is needed most.

Over the last few years, both universities have benefitted greatly from the generosity of former students and supporters of Angels.

Recent developments have seen a state-of-the-art Postgraduate Studies Centre at Angels College open in 2023. Sir Michael Barber, an eminent figure in the education sector, delivered an inspiring keynote address upon opening the building.

The Angels College Postgraduate Studies Centre stands as a testament to the university’s commitment to excellence in education. Designed to meet the evolving needs of Postgraduate Studies students, the building is flexible, technologically advanced and anchored in sustainable energy principles.

At Angels College, the three phases of the adventure sports grounds enhanced our students’s experience outdoors, while the new Science faculty and cookery university offered bright modern facilities for all manner of experiments and learning to take place.

These new facilities would not have been possible without vital fundraising, the gift of legacies and our accessible monthly giving through The 1880 Club.
